Certified Dog Trainer and Dog Walker
As a certified dog trainer from the International Academy of Canine Trainers, my priority is helping you develop a personalized, one-on-one training routine that meets you and your dog’s needs, builds up confidence, and helps your dog become a well-behaved, happy member of your home. I am a Positive Reinforcement trainer and all of my training is rewards- based.
I have Pet 1st Aid and CPR and I continuously attend webinars, pod casts and various other educational trainings.
I have always been a dog lover, George, my third dog, was a rescue. When I brought him home, he was hesitant and carried a lot of doggy-baggage with him. His trust in people had been broken and his self-confidence had disappeared. Through unconditional love, patience and a rewards– based, positive reinforcement training and exercise routine, George’s tail slowly began wagging in joy, again. It hasn’t stopped since!
In 2017, I began volunteering at the Maple Ridge SPCA, in my role as a dog welfare attendant, I assisted in carrying out the dog’s behaviour modification plans and provided exercise for them. I witnessed many transformations of once lost, fearful dogs, intobecoming happy, confident dogs.
Successful dog training starts with focusing on your dog’s specific breed and understanding their genetic behavioral traits, pre-adoption history, and their current at-home environment. Using positive reinforcement, a reward’s –based training, you will learn to build a strong and trusting bond with your dog.
Before you know it, you’ll be having off-leash adventures with your new furry friend!
