Dog Body Language Introduction

Dog’s give us many cues, to let us know what they are feeling. They tell us what they want or don’t want from us, or their surroundings/environment. They communicate, using their body telling us whether they are happy, afraid, excited or risk of aggression.  Correct interpretation of their body language is essential in understanding what our dog is telling us, thus reducing potential unwanted outcomes.   We access the dog’s ears, eyes, mouth, tail and their body stance.  Normally when a dog is wagging their tail, they are happy, but this is not always true, we need to look at how the tail is wagging and it’s positioning.
